Privacy Policy

What the SERP Masters website collects, why, and the choices you have. Written for people, not for lawyers; the short version is that we keep what you send us through the forms, use it to reply, and sell nothing to anyone.

Who we are

SERP Masters is an SEO consulting firm run by its founder, Andy Wang. Our website is serpmasters.com and our headquarters is at 703 Market St Ste 707, San Francisco, CA 94103. This policy explains what information the website collects, how it is used and the choices you have. It applies to the website only; work for clients is governed by the service agreement for that engagement.

Information you give us

The contact and audit request forms ask for your website address, work email, name, what you need and an optional message. We use that information to reply to you, to run the audit you asked for and to follow up about it. Submissions are stored in the website’s content system and emailed to the person handling inquiries. If you email or call an office directly, we keep the correspondence for the same purpose.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server records technical information about each visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open and the time of the request. We use these records to keep the site running, to stop abuse (the inquiry form limits submissions per address) and to understand which pages are read. Where analytics is enabled, Google Analytics collects similar information under Google’s own privacy policy; you can block it with a browser setting or extension.

Cookies

The website itself sets no tracking cookies. Cookies may be set by embedded services (the Google Maps embed on office pages, and analytics where enabled) and by WordPress when you sign in to the admin area, which visitors do not. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; the site works without them.

Third-party services

Office pages embed Google Maps, which loads from Google and is covered by Google’s privacy policy. Links to LinkedIn, Upwork and client websites take you to sites we do not control. The hosting provider that serves the site processes server logs on our behalf. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone outside these providers except to reply to you or when the law requires it.

How we use and keep your information

We use the information above to respond to inquiries, run audits, keep the site secure and improve its pages. Inquiry records are kept for as long as we need them to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward for our records, then deleted on request or in the ordinary course. Server logs are rotated by the host. We do not use your information for automated decisions that affect you.

Your choices and rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent to further contact, at any time. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we honor the same requests from anyone. To make a request, use the contact form or write to the headquarters address above; we will verify the request and answer within the time the law allows. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.

Children

The website is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are checked for automated abuse, and access to stored inquiries is limited to the people who handle them. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the website or the services behind it change. The current version is always the one published at this address. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will say so on this page.
