Figures describe one engagement within the window and tool named beside each one. Rankings move with competitors, algorithm updates and crawl timing, so results from one site do not predict results for another, and no ranking outcome can be projected with certainty.
A new DTC brand has no history, no links and a category owned by incumbents. This engagement built the organic footprint from the product term outward, and Ahrefs shows the curve.
The client
HeySunday sells plant-based, plastic-free cleaning products for households that want an alternative to bulky liquid detergent jugs. Its core product is laundry detergent sheets, and the line also includes dryer sheets, dishwasher sheets, washing machine cleaner, wool dryer balls and reusable paper towels. The sheets are biodegradable, vegan, cruelty-free and dye-free. The brand also runs a laundry donation program with more than 300 partners.
The starting point
Ahrefs showed the site flat near zero ranking keywords before the engagement. The product term “laundry detergent sheets” was on page 2, and the category was held by larger brands and marketplaces.

What this means for DTC SEO
A brand with no history can take a product term when the page answers the buyer better than the incumbents and the rest of the site links into it. The scope is on the content strategy and ecommerce SEO pages.
